Standing in the distance, waiting for you to take control, the rays of a setting sun glinting off the casually elegant, yet aggressive sweeping aluminium composite that form the frame of this beast, flanking the fuselage, the cocoon within which man and machine unite to take him to a place where god never intended him to be, and yet so fast – so fast that even sound cannot keep up, light barely managing to – the marvel of modern aviation – the Mig – 29M.
he Mikoyan MiG-31 (NATO reporting name “Foxhound”) is a supersonic interceptor aircraft developed to replace the MiG-25 ‘Foxbat’.
Codenamed Project 33, development on this aviation marvel began in 1980, with the first of the migs rolling out of the production line in 1986, to reinforce the Soviet Air Force. Over the years, the Mig – 29M, more commonly known as the Mig – 33, have become a part of the Air Forces of over 25 countries.

Imagine having the chance to climb into the cockpit of the machine that the Russians fondly refer to as the “Fulcrum”. Imagine the blood rushing through your body, every sinew stretching, the thrust kicking you forward with a ferociousness that takes control of your senses. Imagine having the entire world beneath you, under your control, while you’re up there cutting through the clouds like a hot knife through butter and climbing all the way up – right to the edge of space.
